| Water Testing - presented by Colin |
Anyone with a retail or wholesale business will realise the importance of having a good knowledge and understanding of your product range in order to both sell and support your customer and keep money dropping into your tills.
Product training for our Sales representatives has always been very important to Glenkrag and we regularly have suppliers and manufacturers in with us making presentations and training our staff on the ranges we sell.
From time to time the gauntlet is laid down to our own sales representatives to make a presentation to the rest of the sales team, and over the past few weeks and coming weeks members of the tele sales team have been doing just that in their weekly product training meeting.
On Friday 9th of May it was Colin’s turn to present the importance of Water testing in the Aquarium. Colin covered the Nitrogen Cycle, the four main areas of testing in freshwater Aq1uariums, being Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and PH. Using API test kits and Treatments as his product of choice Colin provided demonstration to the rest of the team on how to test Aquarium water using both Liquid Test Kits and Strips and providing an explanation on how you would set about correcting any problems you found during a test.
It’s fair to say it can be challenging enough to make a presentation, but on a room full of your colleagues, each bringing a considerable amount of knowledge themselves to the table it just makes it even tougher, and Colin did a great job.
